Samtec SSM .100" (2.54mm) Tiger Claw™ SMT Socket Strips
Samtec SSM .100" (2.54mm) Tiger Claw™ Surface-Mount Socket Strips are board-to-board connectors in various densities, stack heights, and orientations. Samtech SSM series features Tiger Claw contacts, providing an ultra-low profile, dual wipe capability, and pass-through functionality. The contact in the square-post sockets allows the long terminal strip pins to pass through the socket and PCB to another socket. This feature allows for space savings, routing flexibility, and fewer connectors. The highly reliable, rugged sockets are available in vertical and right-angle orientations that have passed ten years in Mixed Flowing Gas (MFG) environments. Popular mating connectors of the Samtec SSM series are the TSW, TSM, MTSW, DW, ZW, and HW series.Specifications

Severe Environment Testing (SET)

Severe Environment Testing (SET) is a Samtec initiative to test certain products beyond typical industry standards and specifications, many of which are common requirements for harsh environment applications/industries.
Driven by demands for high-functioning commercial standard interconnects, SET has proven beneficial in providing performance confidence, not only for rugged Mil/Aero industries and applications but also for automotive, industrial, and medical applications.
