SI (Standard Inserts)
Standard Inserts (SI) employs press-in, molded-in, or heat/ultrasonic installation methods to provide strong, reusable, permanent threads in plastic. SI inserts improve resistance through various methods, such as knurling, hex-shaped bodies, undercuts and barbs, and collapsable slots (found in cold-press inserts).
Featured Products by SI (Standard Inserts)
Solid Body Press-In Inserts
Retention fin design offers much better pullout performance than other solid body press-in inserts.
Molded-In Inserts
The core pins are withdrawn when the mold is opened, permanently encapsulating the inserts.
Ultrasonic/Heat Staking Inserts
Hex-shaped body provides rotational torque resistance and knurling provides torque out resistance.
