Vishay / BC Components Multilayer Varistors

Vishay / BC Components Multilayer Varistors (MLV) provide reliable and cost-effective protection against high voltage transients and surges. These varistors absorb much higher transient energies than transient suppressor diodes and suppress positive and negative transients. The design offers an even distribution of the absorbed energy within the component, allowing a high surge current due to its high electrode area. Other features include surface mounting, inherent bidirectional clamping, and excellent energy/volume ratio. Vishay / BC Components Multilayer Varistors are ideal for overvoltage and transient voltage protection in data lines and I/O ports, ICs and transistors, modems, LCDs, and more.
