Analog Devices Inc. LT8618 & LT8618-3.3 Step-Down Switching Regulators

Analog Devices Inc. LT8618 and LT8618-3.3 Step-Down Switching Regulators support up to 100mA with high efficiency at a constant switching frequency, even up to 2.2MHz. The LT8618 and LT8618-3.3 feature a wide input voltage range up to 65V (transients only, 60V for continuous operation), and consume only 2.5µA of quiescent current.

The ADI LT8618/LT8618-3.3 Step-Down Switching Regulators minimize external components by including top and bottom power switches with all the necessary circuitry. Low ripple Burst Mode operation enables high efficiency down to very low output currents while keeping the output ripple below 10mVP-P.

Additional features allow a flexible and robust operation. Internal compensation with peak current mode topology enables small inductors, resulting in fast transient response and good loop stability. The EN/UV pin has an accurate 1V threshold and can be used to program VIN under-voltage lockout or shut down the LT8618 reducing the input supply current to 1µA if there are no fault conditions PG flag signals when VOUT is within ±7.5% of the programmed output voltage. A thermal shutdown provides additional protection.

The LT8618 Step-Down Switching Regulators are available in a small 10-Lead 3mm × 2mm DFN package with an exposed pad for low thermal resistance.
