Analog Devices Inc. 3D TOF Development Platform

Analog Devices Inc. 3D Time of Flight (ToF) Development Platform (AD-96TOF1-EBZ) is a modular technology evaluation and prototyping system for depth perception. Designed using a modular approach, the 3D ToF Platform features a small form factor that can be easily built into proof of concepts. A Raspberry Pi camera connector allows it to connect to any compatible system. The 3D ToF Platform can also be used directly with 96Boards Processor Boards, such as the Qualcomm Dragon Board, for 3D software algorithm development.

The 3D ToF Platform operates across industrial operating specifications. Objects up to 6m in distance can be detected, and the Development Platform comes with easy-to-use calibration software to ensure optimal operation in the target environment. Laser operation complies with Class 1 safety operating requirements while the default operating frequency is 940nm for improved use in challenging lighting conditions indoor and outdoor.

The AD-96TOF1-EBZ can connect to a host computer via USB, Ethernet, or Wi-Fi®. This flexibility enables evaluation across a wide range of use cases and environments. Sampling rates of up to 30fps are supported. The included Native/Host SDK (Software Development Kit) processes the data read by the on-board CCD and provides it to user applications for further use. For ease of application, the SDK also provides OpenCV, python, and MATLAB® wrappers for custom development.
