Adafruit APDS9960 Sensor Development Board

Adafruit APDS9960 Sensor Development Board places the Broadcom APDS-9960 Proximity Light and  Gesture Sensor on a PCB with a 3.3V regulator and level shifting. This board can be used with 3.3V or 5V microcontrollers. The APDS9960 development board features two mounting holes and a header breakout strip. This board breaks out the power pins and the logic pins of the APDS9960 Sensor. The APDS9960 Sensor can detect simple gestures, return the amount of light (red, blue, green, and clear), and measure the distance of an object.

  • Based on the Broadcom APDS-9960 Proximity Light and Gesture Sensor
  • 3.3V regulator and level shifting
  • Detects simple gestures (left to right, right to left, up to down, and down to up)
  • Returns the amount of red, blue, green, and clear light
  • Measures the distance of an object (up to a few centimeters) with 8-bit resolution
  • Two mounting holes and a header breakout strip

  • 3V to 5V input voltage
  • 3.3V output voltage
  • Up to 100mA output current
